Terms of Service

1. The Service

Centred is a productivity and wellbeing companion app. It provides task management, habit tracking, journalling, kitchen planning, financial tracking, and an in-app AI assistant. Centred is a tool — it is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind (medical, psychological, financial, or legal). See our Health Disclaimer for important limitations on the AI and wellbeing features.

Centred is operated by Potfiction (Jaco Rossouw), based in South Africa. All intellectual property rights in Centred — including the application, its code, design, branding, and content — are owned by Potfiction.

2. Subscriptions — iOS (Apple In-App Purchase)

Centred Premium — Monthly
Price: $4.99 per month · 7-day free trial
Subscription period: 1 month, auto-renewing

Centred Premium — Annual
Price: $39.99 per year · 7-day free trial
Subscription period: 12 months, auto-renewing

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Premium access until then.

Subscription pricing is listed in USD. Your local currency equivalent will be shown in the App Store at time of purchase and may vary with exchange rates.

3. Subscriptions — Web (PayFast)

Web users may purchase Centred Premium via PayFast. This is a one-time payment that grants access for a fixed period (30 days or 365 days). It does not auto-renew. Re-purchase is required when access expires.

Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR): R89 for 30 days, R699 for 1 year. Payment is processed by PayFast; we do not store your card details.

No refunds. Web purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted, as this is a digital service for which performance commences immediately.

4. Account Deletion and Subscription Cancellation

You can delete your Centred account at any time: tap your avatar (top-right) → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data. See Support for step-by-step guidance.

Important: deleting your account does not cancel an active iOS subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you delete your account without cancelling, Apple will continue to bill you until you cancel through Apple.

5. AI-Generated Content

Centred includes an in-app AI assistant. Responses from this assistant are generated by a third-party AI API. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances. Do not rely on the AI assistant for medical, psychological, financial, legal, or crisis decisions. Always seek qualified professional advice for matters that require it.

Content you submit to the AI assistant (including brain dump text and chat messages) is transmitted to a third-party AI provider for processing. This content leaves your device. We do not use your content to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy and Health Disclaimer for full details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Centred is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Potfiction and Jaco Rossouw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity — arising from your use of Centred or reliance on any content it generates, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or R500, whichever is greater.

8. User Responsibility

You confirm you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under the age of majority in your country (commonly 18), you must have obtained your parent or guardian's consent to use Centred and to be bound by these Terms. You agree not to use Centred for any unlawful purpose, upload harmful content, attempt to compromise the service, or reverse-engineer the app or its AI prompts.

9. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Centred application — including code, design, branding, and the name “Centred” as used in connection with this service — are owned by Potfiction (Jaco Rossouw). You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of content you create in the app. By using the service, you grant Potfiction a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice before taking effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
