Centred is a productivity and wellbeing companion. It is not a medical device, a clinical service, or a substitute for professional care. Please read this page before relying on the app for anything health-related.

1. Not a Medical Device

Centred has not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by any medical or regulatory authority (including the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the FDA, or the CE/MDR framework) as a medical device, diagnostic tool, or therapeutic service.

The app is a general-purpose productivity and wellbeing tool. Features like habit tracking, mood check-ins, journalling, and task management are provided for personal organisation and reflection — not as clinical interventions.

2. The In-App AI Assistant is Not a Clinician

Centred includes an AI assistant to help with tasks like organising your day, brain-dumping thoughts, and general chat. This assistant:

  • is not a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or counsellor
  • is not a doctor, nurse, or any other healthcare professional
  • cannot diagnose any condition — including ADHD, anxiety, depression, or any other mental or physical health condition
  • cannot prescribe or recommend medication, dosages, or treatments
  • cannot provide crisis intervention and is not equipped to respond to mental health emergencies
  • generates responses using a third-party AI system that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate output

Do not substitute conversations with the AI assistant for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice. If you are exploring whether you have a condition like ADHD, consult a qualified clinician for assessment.

3. Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing

Centred is not a mental health platform. Wellbeing-related features (journalling, mood reflection, habit tracking) are tools for self-awareness and personal organisation. They are not therapeutic interventions, and engaging with them is not equivalent to receiving mental health treatment or support.

If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional.

4. In a Crisis — Please Reach Out

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, do not use this app — contact emergency services or a crisis line immediately.

5. Always Consult a Professional

Nothing in Centred — including content generated by the in-app AI assistant — constitutes medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice. Always seek qualified professional advice before making decisions that affect your health, safety, or wellbeing.
